Safety Generalist

This is an opportunity to be part of a strong safety team in a growing national transportation company. A successful candidate will be a team player with strong communication skills and the ability to work independently. They will maintain safety records across various online platforms concerning drivers/ trucks. This position also answers incoming phone lines, packs supplies, creates FedEx labels, and tracks the driver, equipment and insurance rosters. This person works with the entire safety team as well as members of our billing/settlement team. Knowledge of the trucking industry a plus.

This is a fulltime position with a 90 day probationary period.

Requirements:

High School Diploma or GED required

1-2 years in transportation/safety environment preferred but not required

Computer skills - Microsoft Office, Word, Excel

Good communication skills

Ability to meet deadlines

Self directed

Detail oriented

Good customer service skills
